The Bastide de Boisset is a typical French Provençal house.  From the 17th to 19th century exteriors, you can see the evolution and changes in the architecture of the house through the passing years.  In its past, it was both a charming country house and a house with a working background-- you can still see places where sheep and pigs were kept and a blackberry patch which attests to the regional silk worm production of the past.  The house has been comfortably restored and decorated with family treasures and antiques. The effect is not of an artificial B and B or Chambre d'hotes, but of a real family house.  We also have, for your use, a pool, a jacuzzi- except during the summer months- a garden, covered parking places a library 2 sitting rooms....

The Gard is in the area where Provence, the Languedoc, the wild Cevennes region and the marshy Camargue come together.  The village of Argilliers, located on the edge of the  garrigue, surrounded by vineyards, olive and truffle trees and fruit orchards, is made up of gently rolling hills and peaceful natural sites.  The garrigue is full of plants and trees you only find in this corner of France as well as herbs like thyme and rosemary growing wild and just waiting for you to brush by them and smile at the wonderful smells. Panoramic views of vineyards and olive orchards surround the tiny village.  Uzès, the valley of the Eure and Gardon Rivers are close by as well as other typical Provençcal villages.

Argilliers is 5 km away from the Pont du Gard, even closer to the gorges of the Gardon River, 8 kms the magnificent city of Uzès, often used in film as a medieval location, 30 minutes from Nimes and Avignon and 45 minutes from Arles and Les Baux de Provence, all must see places in the Provençal countryside.
